Once upon a time... There was a game designer called American McGee who having lived a life of dramatic ups and downs, decided to present a unique take on a selection of traditional fairy tales as a Table Top Card Game, Illustrated Book, Coloring Book, and Collection of Art. He hoped the lessons contained within might help others along their journey through the dark woods of existence. With the success of this campaign we'll deliver a wicked card game, beautiful illustrated book, twisted coloring book, and turn "Out of the Woods" into an ongoing series of games, books, and original art. One of you brought to our attention (Thank You!) our previous mention of sharing a PDF version of the Illustrated Book with those who signed up for the Mysterious Mailing list. Mention of this is made via my blog ON THIS PAGE.
So, we're going to provide a link to that PDF via an email sent to the list.
To make sure you're on the list, hit THIS LINK and input your email address.
If you're already on the list it'll tell you. If you're not, then you'll be added!
Then, in a few days, we'll send out an email to the entire Mysterious mailing list with a link to the PDF of the Illustrated Book. Yay!

Now we'd also like to clear up some game-play questions that have come in.
Apologies if some of this was unclear, but if you also have any other questions not covered below, please ask in the comments in this specific post and we'll answer them.
1. If player can't to play any card from his hand(not have matching house card) then How to play?
You don't have to play a card, you can pick from the deck if you want instead.
2. A player have to pick up some cards from deck, but deck has no card, then how to play?
If the deck is fully used, pick up all the cards already played, give them a shuffle and use those as the deck to keep playing.
3. If I have only 'block' card and not be attacked then Can I play 'block' card?
Yes, you can play any action card at any time regardless of if it even makes sense.
4. If I have only 'reflect' card and not be attacked then Can I play 'reflect' card?
Yes, you can play any action card at any time regardless of if it even makes sense.
5. If I have only 'burden' then can I play 'burden' card?
Yes, you can play any action card at any time regardless of if it even makes sense.
6. If able to play 'burden' then does next player receive a card?
Yes, give the next player a card from your own hand that you do not want.
7. Really needed to add the rules about drawing when you can't play and optionally drawing if you don't want to play.

8. If you reflect a burden, who gets what?
The best way to think about a reflect card is that it simply becomes the action card you're reflecting, so there's no need to try and imagine the process in your head. So if you reflect a burden, you then get to give that person another card from your hand too as if you had simply played a Burden.
9. Do you need to keep the cards spread out so people can track which story is in progress?
You can do this if you want, if you think it'll make the game more enjoyable, but generally we did not play like this and we kept the stories straight in our heads to make it a bit more challenging.
10. Is it really legal to put down all four cards in a single story (provided the house matches)?
Yes. So if you suspect someone is trying to do this, keep a Block handy to thwart them.

Merry Christmas to all! Just a quick note to say we're seeing reports of rewards being delivered from all around the globe. Backer Jon Cellini shared this picture over on Twitter...
Also reading reports that items are carefully packed and in perfect condition upon arrival.
That being said, if you do receive a damaged item, don't worry! Just send us a picture of your item(s) and we'll send you a replacement ASAP.
Regarding tracking info... Martin and I are traveling for the holidays. I am currently on a beach in Thailand... Scouting locations for Pirate Jam 2019
Our shipping partner say they'll share a tracking spreadsheet with us by the end of the week I'll do my best to wrangle it into some sort of web format and share with you... But timing depends on my access to internet.
Again, I ask that you not message requesting tracking details until middle of January. By then we'll have released the tracking details and most stuff will have been delivered Thanks!

December 13th not only marks my birthday but also the day on which your Backer Rewards begin to SHIP! Yay! Presents for everyone!
Here's how everything is looking in Shenzhen at the moment:
Note that we're packing everything in sturdy cardboard boxes and then inserting those boxes into shipping envelopes. All shipments are going out via International Express Mail with tracking. And typical delivery times range from 10~30 days - depending on location, weather, political uprising, labor strikes, The 2nd Coming of Christ, etc.
Regarding Tracking Numbers and Requests
Looks like... Backerkit to the rescue! Martin feels 99% certain we'll be able to export all the tracking number data back into Backerkit which will then allow you to receive notice via email of that info - and to use Backerkit to keep track of your shipment(s). If this fails then we'll fall back to our previous strategy of posting all the tracking info on a webpage where you can manually search for it.
Please, don't message us with tracking number requests unless you absolutely must. And, if you must, please wait until mid-January 2019 to do so. By that time there should be additional updates regarding Backerkit or a dedicated tracking page.
Want to Update Your Address Now?
It's too late! We've been posting updates and sending notifications about this for weeks! If you suspect your package is on its way to an old address - then we highly recommend you try to contact someone at that address and prep them to forward your package to wherever you are now.
We're Shipping Everything (except art prints)!
This process includes the shipping of everything - Card Games, Illustrated Books, Coloring Books, Scarves, Playmats, Certificates, and Collector Edition Boxes. This is all of the physical stuff going from Shenzhen.
For the Art Prints - those have to be fulfilled from the studio in Shanghai. Because of the holidays, we'll not start that process until January 2019. So, if you ordered an art add-on, expect that to arrive ~1 month after the rest of your stuff.
